Senior Business Analyst
We usually respond within a day
Are you an experienced Business Analyst who enjoys working deep in the detail of systems, data, and customer delivery, while owning outcomes end-to-end?
At Katchr, customer implementation is where value is realised. We’re looking for a Business Analyst to take ownership of complex implementations, combining strong analytical capability, domain understanding, and confident client-facing delivery leadership.
This role focuses primarily on new customer implementations and PMS migrations, ensuring solutions are well defined, correctly delivered, and ready for use at go-live.
How this role contributes to our business
As a Business Analyst at Katchr, you will be a key owner of customer implementation activity. You’ll work closely with customers and internal teams to translate agreed needs into clear requirements, guide delivery through to completion, and ensure the final solution meets expectations.
You will sit within our Customer Onboarding function, acting as the primary client contact during implementations and migrations. This role is central to improving consistency, quality, and predictability of delivery across the Katchr customer base.
What the day to day looks like
Requirements & Business Rules:
Own the definition of customer requirements and business rules for each implementation.
Translate customer needs into clear, structured documentation that can be delivered by technical teams.
Define and agree reporting logic, calculations, configuration, and data behaviour.
Ensure requirements are:
Explicitly agreed with the customer
Technically feasible within Katchr
Clearly understood by the developers
Maintain alignment as requirements evolve during delivery.
This part of the role requires a strong understanding of law firm workflows, legal finance, and how operational data is structured and reported.
Implementation & Delivery Ownership:
Act as the client-facing lead throughout the implementation phase.
Own delivery plans, priorities, and timelines for assigned customers.
Run regular implementation calls and provide clear progress updates.
Coordinate internal delivery activity across BI, engineering, and technical teams.
Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges.
Serve as the escalation point for customers during implementation.
You are accountable for delivery outcomes, even though build activity is completed by specialist teams.
Scope Control & Change Management:
Maintain a clear boundary between agreed scope and new requests.
Identify when additional requirements should be handled as Change Requests.
Lead clear, pragmatic conversations with customers about impact on timelines and effort.
Protect delivery focus while maintaining strong, trusted customer relationships.
Data Migration, Validation & Release Readiness:
Support and coordinate PMS migrations and data-led implementations.
Work with customers, PMS vendors, and Katchr engineers on:
Data mapping and reconciliation
Validation and acceptance criteria
Testing and issue resolution
Ensure solutions are accurate, fit for purpose, and ready for release.
Support post-go-live validation where required.
What we’re looking for
Experience & Capability:
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a SaaS, data, or systems-led environment.
Hands-on involvement in system implementations and/or data migrations.
Comfortable owning long-running, client-facing delivery projects.
Able to work confidently with technical teams without needing to code.
Domain & Technical Understanding:
Strong understanding of law firm operations, including Practice Management Systems.
Comfortable working with system configuration, data structures, and reporting logic.
Able to discuss workflows, constraints, and trade-offs with both customers and engineers.
Delivery Mindset:
Structured, organised, and detail-oriented.
Confident running customer calls and managing expectations.
Calm and credible under pressure.
Clear, concise communicator in both writing and conversation.
Where you’ll work:
You’ll spend time in our Huddersfield hub during onboarding, particularly early on, to build product knowledge and relationships. Beyond that, we support flexible working.
